The robust maximum likelihood estimator (MLR) was used, as it adjusts standard errors and chi-square statistics to accommodate nonnormal data (Section 3: “Testing normality assumptions” in supplementary materials provided by Tkaczyk et al [48]), yielding more accurate parameter estimates [50]. The proportion of missing data for the key time-varying variables ranged from 0.0% to 7.3% across waves.
